Located in Johnson Creek, Wisconsin, Aztalan Motorpark sits just off I-94 between Chicago and Milwaukee, making it a convenient and accessible destination for motocross riders and fans from across the Midwest. Nestled in a rural stretch of Dodge County, the track is part of a tight-knit racing community and functions as a central hub for amateur motocross activity in the region. Its proximity to two major metropolitan areas means racers often travel here for weekend events, while local riders use it as a regular training ground thanks to consistent practice days and a well-maintained track layout. Aztalan Motorpark is best known for hosting rounds of the Wisconsin Motocross Racing Association (WMXRA) championships, drawing competitive amateurs looking for a serious course with technical sections and natural terrain features shaped by the local landscape. The track emphasizes grassroots racing, with a clear focus on rider development and community participation. Unlike larger commercial facilities, it maintains a straightforward, no-frills atmosphere that prioritizes function and accessibility. Riders can expect a course that changes subtly with the season, responding to weather and usage, which keeps practice sessions challenging and race days unpredictable. With its role as a Midwest hub, the venue supports a steady calendar of events—ideal for racers building experience, families involved in amateur MX, and teams looking for reliable competition within driving distance of the region’s major corridors. Know Before You Go

Open practice days
Most MX parks run open practice on weekends for $25-50. Sign in at the gate, sign a waiver, and ride your allotted moto groups (typically 30 min on, 30 off).
Required gear
Helmet (DOT or Snell M-rated), goggles, gloves, chest protector, knee/shin guards, boots, and a full-sleeve jersey. Most tracks won't let you ride without all of it.
Class structure
Tracks separate riders by bike size (50cc / 65cc / 85cc / 250cc / 450cc) and by skill (beginner / novice / intermediate / pro). Sessions rotate through the day.
Track conditions
Tracks get watered before sessions and groomed between motos. Soft loam in the morning hardens into ruts by afternoon — adjust suspension and tire pressure.
